Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and national lockdown our #spekkies4cheshire project with local schools and Volunteers ended.
We would like to thank the students and volunteers who participated and are looking forward to 2021 when we will be able to invite volunteers and students to visit our home again.
We aim to plant a spekboom hedge along our boundary wall and continue to propagate new plants.
Did You Know:
- The Spekboom, also known as Elephant’s Food, fights climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide, improving the quality of the air we breathe
- It is also edible and nutritious
- It is water-wise, adapts to its environment and can live up to 200 years.
